We built products the hard way. Then decided to fix it.

We had already built products the hard way — months of back-and-forth with labs, unclear compliance, expensive iterations, and too many surprises too late. Every new product felt like starting from scratch, even when the playbook should've existed.

At the same time, we were working closely with food scientists, researchers, and manufacturing partners across India — including a co-developed research programme with the IIT Madras Food Science Lab, and industry labs across the country. The insight was clear: the knowledge exists, but it's scattered, slow, and not built for execution.

So we decided to rethink the entire process. We incubated at IIT Madras (IITMIC) and built Bettrlabs as India's first R&D-as-a-service platform for food, wellness, and nutraceutical brands — the alternative to months-long CRO cycles.

Bettrlabs brings together data, domain expertise, and real-world manufacturing into one system — covering formulation, FSSAI compliance, cost modelling, and verified lab matching. Not just generating concepts, but making them manufacturer-ready.
